Editorial Reviews Product Description ANGER:State of NJ vs. Anger: CDSome pretty strong, clean sounding hardcore with varying speeds that is sometimes a little reminiscent of the Fixtures. Some of the lyrics are questionable at best, especially "Bull Dyke, " which should raise a few eyebrows over at the MRR compound. Musically,  this is pretty solid. –Jimmy Alvarado (HOA, PO Box 442, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442) About Anger Hailing from North Jersey, Anger was born in the year 1992 when Mastermind Terry Torino (vocalist / songwriter) recorded the first six song demo tape with the help (drummer / next door neighbor) Mike Driscoll. A record deal was soon inked with "Skyclad Records ", a small indie label from NJ. Anger was on their way to fame and fortune. Unfortunately, Skyclad Records went bankrupt before the record could be released. Recruiting guitarist Bryan Torino (Terry's Brother) and bass wizard Rich Tanis, Anger began playing local shows in the NY/NJ area. After many gigs, they finally saved up enough money to press and release the record themselves in 1995. Several thousand copies of the CD " If Punk is Dead... What the Hell is this? " were sold in the first year. A four week tour of the central and southern states followed. Upon return from tour they began work on a six song 7 " EP titled "Unscene ". With so many CD's being sold without help from the radio, a record label or proper distribution, Black Pumpkin took notice and agreed to fund and distribute Anger's next full length release in 1997 titled "Juvenile Anthems ". "Juvenile Anthems " sold more copies than the previous CD with the help of radio and tour support. Impressed with the numbers, Black Pumpkin decided to fully fund, press and distro their third CD " The State of N.J. vs. Anger " in 2000. Another four week tour followed the release of the CD. Later that year a split 7 " EP with fellow North Jersey Punkers, "FLATUS " was released. All tracks for "Drunk in Jersey " were recorded live on the Pat Duncan Show - 91.1 FM - WFMU. Bryan decided to part ways with Anger in May of 2004; to settle down and get married. Figuring the band was history, Terry tattooed the logo on his arm and was ready to pack it in. However the songs kept coming. A few months later, they recruited guitarist Patrick Piegari and Anger was born again. Adding an extensive list of cover songs to their original set, Anger continued to play local shows in the NJ/NYC area. In 2006, Anger recorded a 5 song demo for the next full length CD. In October of 2007 Bryan Torino returned to Anger. With the original lineup back together, the new full length CD "All Good Things...Must Come to an End " should be released by the Fall of 2008. Live long and prosper.
